10 a.m. - 10:50 a.m.: Introduction to ModCloth from Susan
Susan Gregg Koger, ModCloth’s Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, will share her personal story about how ModCloth got its start.

11 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.: Nabbing a Job in Fashion
Andie Pineda, a Senior Recruiter at ModCloth, will share tips on perfecting your resume, crafting a stellar cover letter, and leveraging your LinkedIn profile to secure a career in fashion.

12 p.m. - 12:50 p.m.: Emerging Social Media
ModCloth’s Social Media Specialist, Ashley McGregor Dey, will lead a discussion on emerging social media like Pinterest, Instagram, and Tumblr. She’ll be joined by Erin Hagstrom, ModCloth’s Editorial Specialist and blogger behind Calivintage, Eugenia Chien of Polyvore, and Angela Tafoya of Refinery29.

12:50 p.m. - 2 p.m.: Lunch
Take a break and enjoy some noms provided by ModCloth. Make sure to have your business cards on hand for a little networking action.

2 p.m. - 2:50 p.m.: Kick Starting Your Own Fashion Line
Ever dream of starting your own clothing company? Our Head of Private Label, Jena Wang, will moderate a panel consisting of local designers including Deirdre Nagayama of Curator, Paulina Berczynski of Fluffy Co., and Jocelyn Nguyen of Nous Savons.

3 p.m. - 3:50 p.m.: About-Face Workshop
Kjerstin Gruys, a volunteer at About-Face, will lead a workshop on media and body image, to help raise awareness for the impact advertising and marketing can have on women’s self-esteem, especially in the context of the fashion industry.

4 p.m. - 4:50 p.m.: Choose Your Own Adventures - The Road to Working in Fashion
There’s not one right way to get into the biz, and ModCloth’s design manager, Mini Kurhan, will facilitate a conversation about how to get a foot in the fashion door. She’ll be joined by Lorraine Sanders, SF-based journalist and founder of SF Indie Fashion, Maria Morales of Poshmark, and Jennie Lodge of Threadflip and the blog Going West.

All proceeds for this event will go to About-Face, which equips women and girls with tools to understand and resist harmful media messages that affect their self-esteem and body image.
